The time is running out. I have so many things to do before leaving, so time for writing my blog is hard to find.
21.5 - Woke up from a deep slumber today. Yesterdays biking had made my body stiff and my bum sore. I ate breakfast around 10. At 11 I walked to Maria's and rolled out the bikes from her room. The had spent a safe night there together. We went to the end of K-street and crossed Clydesdale Expressway and cycled along The Clyde to the M8 we turned right and made our way through places that had not been planned for cyclists. Luckily we weren't far from Kelvingrove Park. We biked through the park and came out at Gibson Street. We returned the bikes and I got my ID back. We had a coffee from a nearby coffee shop and drank it in the park and we tried to memorise what had happened since 7.5. A lot. Then we walked home and I am sitting here, writing. Today, of course, The Apprentice.
20.5, Tuesday. Around 9:30 Conrad came to Maria's flat. Conrad, Freja, Maria and me sat around the breakfast table and talked, yes. Around 11 we walked to Gear Bike at Gibson Street and Rented two bikes. I got a dark grey and Maria a silver. We biked back to Kelvinhaugh Street after the man in the shop had made some inquests into our relationship. Where are you from? Did you meet in Glasgow? Is she your girlfriend? How romantic! Of course, you can just be friends. At Kstreet we locked the bikes and I had a musli in my flat and then Maria arrived and she had a musli. 12:30 we left. I had water, chocolate, bananas, apples and the camera in my bag. We biked down to The Clyde. There we found Route 7, which leads to Loch Lomond 20 miles away. That was our destination.
We biked along the River with docks, warehouses, and estates between us and the river. It was not beautiful but it was the true face of Glasgow. I was content to see it. I followed on the map and we followed signs. After 3 miles we lost the trail although I was going to realise this a bit later. We biked for 10 minutes and we didn't arrive to a channel which was on the map. We asked a couple and they said go that direction so we did. We reached a channel after to miles. It was the right channel but we came to it in the wrong place. We biked along. It was nice. Like Holland, Maria said. We followed it through Dalmuir and Kilpatrick. Before Bowling we passed a very impressive location with a lock(swe. sluss), some trees and a bridge above us. We passed through Bowling in a tunnel of green trees and passing under real bridges. We arrived after an hour to Dumbarton. We had a look at the castle which was located on a high mountain. The castle didn't look very old and you had to pay 3 pounds. We continued back towards the route. On the way a man opened his car window and said.
- You have a flat tire.
- Oh, I said and looked at my tire. It was ok.
He only fooled my. HAHA! Similar jokes in finnish. Varo! Sulla on pylly päin satulaa or pyörä pyörii akselin ympäri . We found the track and followed the river through Renton and Alexandria to Balloch. In Balloch we wondered where we were. There was a TIC. I entered and asked for a map. It was Balloch I was surprised. We biked for five more minutes and say Loch Lomond. Where the Highlands start. We took some pictures and biked back to a supermarket and bought local ham and turkey, a baguette, crisps, strawberries, juice, water, sweets and bananas. We biked to the other side of the river and sat down on a grass and sand beach and had our dinner. The water felt like the Lake water in Finland. The lunch was good and energy was retrieved by our bodies. At 5 we started back.
The wind was against us and our bums were sore. I didn't know one. In the middle we felt tired but as the signs evidenced our approach we got more energy and reached Clydesdale. There we realised the mistake when we cycled out of Glasgow. This way was nicer. At 8 we were back in Glasgow on Kelvinhaugh Street. I didn't know if I had a bum or not. The trip was between 42-45 miles(65-70 km). We placed the bikes inside Maria's room and ate noodles with mushrooms, aubergine, peas and sallad onion. Tired I slept after composing some music with Logic PRO.

Hello
Boat on Loch Lomond19.5 Monday. Around 12 the buzzer sounded. I ran fast and said hello and a man said delivery and I got ants in my trousers and opened the door and waited impatiently for the man who said oh stairs and said sign here and I did and I hurried back and opened the package with care and it was heavy I thought and there it was: LOGIC STUDIO. 45O € in Finland I got it for 150 €. My music career is saved. It will suit along with my jurist career. I cleaned the computer the whole day and adjusted things before installing it. I deleted pictures and arranged and deleted Live! Bah! I started installing around 8 and it took 3 hours and 40 GB. I ate a salad and watched Crash on DVD with Maria. I saw the film and I will never forget the installation of Logic Studio. I tried it a bit in my room, but Sam was going to have an exam the next day so I was quiet.
18.5 Sunday. I was invited to Maria's and Elisabettas flat for lunch. Elisabetta had prepared a lasagne, completely home made and for dessert a Sachertorte. It was all super delicious. We walked to the GFT around 3 to see Jacque Tati's Playtime. GFT was busy. I was afraid we wouldn't get tickets but we did and we entered the salon and saw first a film called kh-4 about Glasgow following the same theme as Playtime. Then we saw playtime and it was awesome. The chaos in the restaurant was crazy on a big screen. The happening was arranged by monorail film club. After the film we walked home and ate a risotto with mushrooms and red peppers. It was good, very close to couscous. Then we watched Brokeback Mountain. During the film I had to go to the liquor store and buy 16 cans of beer for Fer. I did and returned to the flat.
17.5 Saturday - Maria and me tried to make music but that day it didn't work too well. Nothing particularly good was created. We had lunch in my room because Fernando's friends were sleeping in the kitchen. We ate leftovers from yesterday and cucumber-pate sandwiches. I walked around six to the Somerfield to meet Conrad and Anne in front of the shop. I didn't, and met Karen instead. She called Conrad and Anne. Conrad was in the shop and Anne was coming. We bought BBQ food. They had no marsh mallows and the next delivery was coming the next day. I bought corn and mushrooms. I had two beers in my pocket. We walked to QMR. It was nice, better than Kstreet. The location is shit. We BBQ:ed and it was ok fun. Around 9 Carina, Maria and me walked home. Conrad was supposed to come with us but he took part in other adventures. I saw a beautiful moon on the way home and there was some classic law student talk on the way home.

Moonlight
Moonlight 216.5 Friday - I walked as a free man in Glasgow. I went to Somerfield's and bought baking powder for Samuel and his cakes. I went to the Hillhead library and borrowed Steinbeck's of Mice and Men. They said I hadn't returned a book I actually had. They said they would check the shelf. I walked to the main uni library and borrowed two book by Kurt Vonnegut. One of the Slaughter house 5. I met Suzi on the way and bought the Guardian but haven't read it yet. I borrowed also a book in French grammar. Around 8 I walked to Maria's flat and had dinner from a buffet table with Maria, Freja, Susanna, Elisabetta, Gianfrano, Davide, Sara, My flatmates except Marco and Fer, Carina, Kalyani, Conrad and Me. I am sorry if I forgot someone. We dined until 11 and it was tasty. At 11 we walked to our flat and there was a party. It was loud. The senior resident came twice and the security, it ended 5 o'clock. I was unaware of this until the next morning, since I was sleeping like a baby.

Karina and Samuel15.5 Thursday. LAST EXAM, Institutions and judicial control of the EU at 2:30. Before the exam I studied. The exam was under an old ex-church that now is university property and functions as a lecture hall. My watch was to minutes wrong so I didn't manage to finish all questions. How frustrating. I said by to Eric who was going back to Sweden the next day and said he could sleep at our house if he ever was coming to Finland. Relieved however after the exam I walked to the library and returned the European Union book and walked home. Now my school was finished in Glasgow. After the exam we walked to Lidl, smoking cigars. We met Sara and Stephanie. In Lidl I took pictures. The last shopping, that was. We took the taxi home and the driver took a new way again. I prepared tortillas. We danced ceilidh and screamed of relief in our flat. Maria arrived and we ate tortillas and drank an Italian sparkling wine for celebrating my new freedom.

The saviour at the horizon14.5 Wednesday - Maria came with a pizza around 8:30. We watched the Apprentice. The wrong person was fired again. The pizza was heavy. During the day I studied for EU. It was my last day.
13.5 Tuesday - After I returned from the Bus station I had a shower and unpacked my stuff. I showed my pics to Samuel and Maria. I was a bit tired after the trip but not too bad.
Shetlands 9-13.5. Read all about it in my slightly censured travel diary. Only 5 quid.
8.5 Thursday. I packed my stuff for the Shetlands. I studied as well EU law.
7.5 Wednesday - I prepared a very tasty dinner. Drum sticks in a sauce I had the sticks in for the whole day and turned them a couple of time. I ate it with rice and for desert strawberry ice cream. We ate a lot, me and Maria. Then we watched the Apprentice. The right man was not fired. Sir Allan is discriminating. I might have done some studies for EU law, I cannot say for sure, since my memory doesn't serve me that well.

Hi
The Lord Complete Audio English Quran in MP3
"What does Islam say about war?"
Like Christianity, Islam permits fighting in self-defence, in defince of religion, or on the part of those who have been expelled forcibly from their homes. It lays down strict rules of combat which include prohibitions against harming civilians and against destroying crops, trees and livestock. As Muslims see it, injustice would be triumphant in the world if good men were not prepared to risk their lives in a righteous cause. The Quran says:
'Fight in the cause of God against those who fight you, but do not transgress limits. God does not love transgressors.' (2.190)
'If they seek peace, then seek you peace. And trust in God for He is the One that heareth and knoweth all things.' (8.61)
War, therefore, is the last resort, and is subject to the rigorous conditions laid down by the sacred law. The term jihad literally means 'struggle', and Muslims believe that there are two kinds of jihad. The other jihad is the inner struggle which everyone wages against egotistic desires, for the sake of attaining inner peace.
