2 Days left - Kurt Vonnegut

 We are going home

30.5 Friday. After finishing my blog I played football with Fernando, Samuel and Marco. There were not enough player so we had to improvise with somewhat boring games. We walked back 2 hours later with no real game played. I took a shower and started to cook my meal for the night, drumsticks with rice. I ate dinner around 9:30. It was not as good as the first time I made them. Because I was in a hurry I hadn't time to keep them long enough in the oven. They were done but could have been softer.
9:45 I walked to Conrad's and he served Mohitos in the company of Andrea(girl) and Blandine and later Anne, Andrea and Samuel. Later we walked to GU and attended beach party. GU is the same shit as QM. GU smells far worse. We entered and we partied for the last time with Conrad. The party was ok but I wasn't too inspired, only in taking pictures. In the night we walked home. At the doorstep we met Ica, Ifa and Stephanie. Stephanie was leaving the next day and we said good bye. After compulsory peppermint tea I went to sleep and it was late at that time. Around 3 in the night I made as well the decision to go to Arran the next day.

31.5 Saturday. After three hours of sleep I got up at 7:30. I had breakfast, drumsticks with rice, rinsed down with tea. 9 people met outside Kstreet (We met Salvatore in the train) 6 Italians(Andrea, Elisabetta, Gianfranco, Luca, Marco and Salvatore), Fernando, Julia, Blandine and me. We took three taxis to the Central Station and got on the train 8:33. I slept in the train until Ardrossan Harbour. There we got on the ferry and first witnessed the beauty of the day. The sea was like blue mirrors and the boat was crowded like a steamer leaving Liverpool for New York. We left and suck the sun on deck. The seagulls performed their tricks. An hour later we were in Brodick, capital of Isle of Arran. We decided together after a bit of trouble to stay in Brodick. We bought food in a supermarket and walked towards the Castle along the beach. An hour later we arrived. The scenery was stunning and me and Fernando though we would climb a nice mountain. We didn't. We were instead preoccupied with the BBQ. We passed the castle without actually seeing it. Only a glimpse from behind. We continued towards a BBQ spot on the map. One person really wanted to get to the place and eat at the table like some retired scared pension person. We couldn't find the spot and ended up in a small glade next to the road. We BBQ and I walked to a small brook to cool the beers. On the way I met a group of three. They asked if I'd seen a waterfall in a East European accent. I hadn't I said, I am only looking for a place to cool the beers. The speaker said enjoy your beers. I had maybe 5 litre. We ate meat, sausages, pork loins, steaks and a lot more, even vegetables. I provided cold beer. Fernando draped his commands for more beer neatly:
- I think it is time to get some beer, he said.
After the lunch BBQ (really a ByeByeQue) finished with cherries, strawberries and Fazer's chocolate we rested. I walked a bit away and enjoyed some stunning landscape. We then set of and walked back to the city. We trespassed over a golf course and came back to the beach. Me and Marco went to sleep followed bye Fernando. There were jellyfish. It was not too cold. Like St Andrews I think.
Then we played some football until we realised we were a bit late for the ferry. We walked fast over pebbles but also sharp stones. It was painful so I put my shoes on. There was a long queue and locals watched their watches when we hurried towards the harbour. The queue was about 200 meters. We were about the last ones. There was enough space. We crossed and ate ice cream and fell asleep in the train. Fernando, Luca and Salvatore stayed there. In Glasgow we took taxis back. At home I cleaned kitchen and living room although it wasn't only my turn. I am kind. Then I baked bread and it was better than the last time. I ate hamburgers, now with home made buns. And before one with mozzarella and vegetables. Then I rested and finished the evening with 30 mins of party in 69 A. I said good bye to Loik and Harriet and walked home. Samuel, Fernando and me had tea and went to sleep around 3 o'clock.

1.5 Sunday. Woke up 10. I had an unusual breakfast. Fried eggs, tomatoes, a bun and cherry jam, with tea. Since then I've been sitting here and I spoke with Maria. Today I have to something substantial again, because I am leaving soon. I wonder were my flatmates have gone.
