Semi new times

Hiya,
So the promised change in my dull blog should happen now. Hm, I'll do it gradually, ok. Heh.

24 Today has been a warm day. A day so warm that I've dreamt of swimming. Still, I haven't swum. I worked from 9 to a 4:40. A big change, on my scale is that I've changed the train for bus when I go home from work. It's faster, around 3o minutes in comparison to the train 38 minutes. The bus is less convenient and of course a bigger polluter, so I have to reassess my decision, when I know how much people are using it. At home a friend of my father, Juhani Seppovaara, visited us. His making books for living, with photographs. Since my father wasn't home I had the wonderful opportunity to learn from him. We looked at pics I'd taken and he commented on them.
- The lighting is not very successful in this picture, and neither is anything else, he said at least once.
From around 70 pics, around 5 where in his taste. That's nice. I'm going to be kind and give tips. I'd rather keep quiet and be better than you.
1. To take pictures on clear sunny is not recommendable. In fact it's stupid and should be avoided. The shadows are too dark and the light is too hard on later areas.
2. When taking pictures of a person. Never cut half of hands away. When cutting, don't cut ankles or knees, but thighs or smalben(swe)
3. Composition, understanding of lighting, choosing interesting objects, using the feet-zoom, rendering are essential features of a good photographer. Here are the pics he liked, including the one above:

23 Yesterday, Wednesday, I worked as I used to. A friend of mine, Kai, came to the parliament and we lunched together. It was the first time I saw him since returning from Glasgow. As he said, it felt like, we'd seen each other yesterday. After work I met Titus and bought a new deo stick - Issey Miyake Bleue, for 24 euros. Smells nice under my arms, yes, why not. From there me and Titus travelled to the north of Helsinki where we met Jan and his sister. We walked from there to a pitch. We were 18 people playing football under a very hot sun. I had to face the fact that my physical shape is not good. I need to exercise more. We played until 8:30. Me and Titus took the train to Böle and from there to Jorvas. We dined around 10:45 and I went to bed 11:30 tired tired.

22 Tuesday, I worked as usually. At home me and Titus created our new myspace page. Check www.myspace.com/thebandbigtick There you can listen to three songs we recorded on Monday. Everything is recorded at once so the sound quality is not the best. The music is. We are called Big Tick and our first new jam tunes are called Big Tick, Needless to Say and Bra(good Swe.). Be our friend on myspace, please.
21 Monday - After work me and Titus started recording. We played from 5 to 9 and got three tunes done. Listen to them. Check the link above. After recording we played football and ran in the woods. To end the physical training we swam in the hole.
20 Sunday. On Sunday we went to the sauna. I swam in the small hole on
19 Saturday. Our parents arrived home from there biking trip in Sweden. They were on the Island of Gotland. It's the place were Ingmar Bergman lived and is buried. The house was nice and clean. We had good food for the first time since they left. I can't remember what it was but it was good. In the evening me and Titus played football and Mamma bought 10 kg of strawberries and we had crepes for late dinner, with strawberries and whipped cream. Then we watched Paris Je t'aime. It was my second time. Then sleep
18 Friday. The picture from the last post describe the day. Football, sun and swimming. The only thing you cant see from the pictures is that Titus and me cleaned our house, mostly Titus.

I am sorry! I'll not write in my new style today. I've far too much to write about. But next time, I promise, it will be less painful to read. This is written from the later to earlier which is a change.

5 - Saturday

6 - Sunday

7 - Monday

8 - Tuesday - I went to work for 8:30 and was behind the disk until 12:30. I ate quickly and walked to the bus station at the railway station. I took a bus to the airport. I arrived 2 o'clock. I waited in the arrival hall. I saw some moving and funny reunions. An Asian father waiting for his family. When they came out the door he tried to take a picture of them. They felt embarrassed and therefore walked fast. The father got angry and signalled them to stop. The reunion was a fight. Other people were very emotional and some very quiet and embarrassed. Maria came through the door and we greeted. That was equally emotional I dare say, however, I will not go into detail.

We took the bus to Esbo Centrum and from there to Jorvas and walked home. We ate dinner with my family. It was chicken stew with rice. We ate and everyone spoke English. In fact Maria, Titus and me were speaking English together all the time. After dinner Maria and me inspected the garden and walked around.

9 - Wednesday. The next day we slept for as long as we wanted. It was also my first day of my holiday from the Parliament library. We ate breakfast outside on the terrace because it was sunny. Then we played Football, volleyball and rugby. At 12 we took the train to Helsinki. We walked from the train station to uni and the old part of the city, which according to Maria is actually pretty modern. That is true. We sat at the stairs of the big white church. From there we walked to the harbour and took a ferry to Sveaborg. It's an old fortress outside helsinki, around 15 mins by ferry. There we bought food and searched for a place where we could eat and take shelter from the wind. We found a place after crossing the island. We ate grapes, baguettes filled with potato salad. And drank water. The wind was increasing and rain clouds were sailing in from the sea. We took the ferry back and met my parents. They were taking the ferry to Stockholm and continued to Gotland. There they would bike for a week in celebration of them being married for thirty years. Maria and me said goodbye and took the tram to the railway station and went back home. We ate traditional macaronies with minced meat. That Finnish. The day was over.

10 - Thursday. We looked in photo albums and had a lazy Thursday morning. Titus came home early. In the afternoon we went to Hvitträsk, where Hvittorp is, which is the home of a famous Finnish architect, Eliel Saarinen. From there we walked down to the lake and swam in the sea. It was not cold at all. It was refreshing. We biked home and I can't remember what we ate.

11 - Friday. We played GTA San Andreas and had another lazy morning. Around 4 we biked 25 km to our summer cottage. We had a lunch break and ate pizza slices from yesterday. That's right! The day before we made pizza and ate very late. In Porkala we rowed out to Rysshamnen and took water from a well. Maria was rowing as well. When we were going back we saw a sailing boat coming in and realised it might be Isak. In the bay we realised it was him. They were at the summer cottage. He arrived with four other people aged 13 to 17. Isak is a Seascout leader, that's why. We made dinner together. Boiled potatoes and ate it with three different flavour of Baltic Herring for starter, and sausages for dinner and for dessert we had pancakes made on open fire in a big pan. Then we had a sauna and we swam in the sea. There were some poisonous algae in the water. It's not lethal. After the sauna we had a bier and went to sleep. Isak and the crew slept in the boat.

12 - Saturday - The next morning we woke up and had breakfast. Isak suggested that we could sail with them to Mattby which is 15 km away from our home. It sounded good and it's a good way to see the archipelago. We put the bikes in the boat and washed up and cleaned a bit. We sailed out and sailed around Porkala udd which is the old area that the Russians had for 5 years or something. We went up on the east side and reached Mattby after 8 hours of sailing. We got the bikes and I realised I forgot my shoes on the cottage. I had to bike in socks and it was a bit cold so I put on my PJ. I looked like a person escaping from a mental institution. We ate on a McD on the way. Don't do that. We reached Jorvas around 10. Very tired we went to sleep

13 - Sunday - On Sunday we had a real lazy Sunday morning. Isak and Jonna arrived. They fixed their gardens. Cami, Maria, Titus and me played cricket(?), or whatever its called. Maria and me went to a shop and bought food. We came back and served Coronna and nuts to Isak and Jonna. Titus prepared a pasta inside, with mangold(swe) and courgette. For starter we a Bruccetta? and for dessert a chocolate tart with vanilla icecream. After the dinner we went with Jonna to Meikko, which is a lake. There we enjoyed the view and swam. It's a great place to swim. Crystal clear water. Afterwards we drove home via a supermarket. At home we chilled and then went to sleep.

14 - Monday. Woke up 8 but also before and sang for Maria. I made breakfast, that is, I also baked scones. Maria was packing. We washed up and walked to the train 11. 04. In Esbo Centrum we enjoyed the beauty of a half dead shopping mall. We took the bus to the Airport. There we drank coffee and ate sandwiches. Then Maria walked through the security control and I was on the other side of the glass. She left. It was so much fun, that she was here.

I took the bus home and the train after waiting 30 mins more in Esbo Centrum. I had my camera so I could take some pictures. At home was Titus. We didn't do much. Played some Civ 4 only.

15 - Tuesday - Was work again. I had slept a very short night so I was a bit tired. It was the last the day the library was open. I was behind the desk from 12:30 to 4. After work I went home and me and Titus played computer, jammed and played the new ball game Jan invented. I talked with Maria on the phone.

16 - Wednesday, Yesterday I woke up 7 and went to work and was working the whole day in the open stacks arranging books. After work I took the train home. At home I stayed for just an hour. Then Emil, Titus, Wilhelm and me went bowling in Masaby. It was strange because Masaby is not a place I associate with bowling. Usually I don't do bowling. After the bowling we bought some crap food, like sweets, crisps and squash. Then Sebbe arrived and Emil left. We went swimming to Hvitträsk and from there home to us. At home we took funny picutres. I was taking pictures and Titus and Sebbe were the models.

17 - Today, Thursday, was the second library was closed to the public. The library is more quiet and I can do my work in a different. I can be more loud. I came to work, 9 and left home 8.15. I woke up 7:30. I had dark bread and toast with tea for breakfast. I m going through the books about international law and I find so much interesting stuff I want to read. I am writing a list of future books to read. I arrived home 4:45. I prepared Risotto Milanese, this time with saffron. Cami, Titus and me ate. It was good. Hm, maybe I am still a bit hungry. Now I am eating sweets. Our parents are coming on Saturday. They have been away then for 9 days. So, tomorrow cleaning.
