13.10 Wednesday – Woke up in the morning and went to work. I worked until around 16 and biked fast to the train station. There I met Titus. He was coming from Finland. We walked to the flat and Titus left his stuff there. We got out and went to eat pizza at Very Italian Pizza. Two Cassis and two Margarita. We biked to Farzad after the dinner and had tea there and borrowed his Giant bike. Titus and me biked to Kijkduin in the dark and saw the sea and the landscape was like moon. We saw foreigner areas and new areas of The Hague. We were out for hours and had a broodje with cassis around 2300. At home we slept after a peculiar discussion with my flatmate.

Broodje14.10 Thursday – Woke up and it was my first day of Holidays in the Netherlands. We had a big breakfast and then biked to fetch a paper for the cinema night in Amsterdam. From the embassy we biked back to the centre and we looked in some shops and found hanging trousers but didn’t buy. We packed our bags and bought a Turkse pizza and walked to the train station and took the train to A’dam. In Adam the weather was unstable. We walked towards China town and the Red light district. We ate at New City, the Best CHniese. From there we started walking towards Nazilas place. We arrived there around 6 and met Naz and dumped our stuff. We walked to Vondel Park and reached EYE and saw the film “Kauas Pilvet Karkaavat” 4/5. After that we mingled with the Ambassador, Jaap Pieters who is a very famous 8mm super8 filmmaker and a Dutch lad. We were served vodka, wine, beer, meatballs and more. We had interesting films about film and Jaap suggested a place which we should see. Naz, Tit and me walked back and slept.

15.10 Friday – We slept a long night and woke up in Naz’s place. We washed up and packed. Then we left the flat and walked towards the photo shop Jaap had recommended through a rainy Amsterdam. There we met a very nice guy who we talked a lot with, for an hour. From there we walked via Vondel Park to Museum Plein and further towards the city centre and bought an umbrella and sweets at Xenos. We bought Fritjes and ate them with curry and mayo. From there we continued towards the city centre and ate in Jordaan in a terrible Indian restaurant. Never go there! Rangoli Indian Restaurant. And it was expensive. We took the dessert with us and threw it away on the train station and travelled to Den Haag HS. I biked to The Central station and met Maria. We biked back and it was night.

View from Balcony16.10 Saturday – Woke up in the morning and it was a sunny day. We ate a good breakfast and took our asses to the beach. We had coffee at Zio and played some cards. There Titus and me rented surf gear and paddled over the harbour to the south side. There we surfed for two hours. It was great fun and the weather was amazing. Difficult it is to surf. We showered and felt really tired. Walking towards tram 1 and drinking rock star energy drink, that you get for free when you surf. We took the tram back and went to Kee Lun palace and had Chinese for the whole coin. From there we went to De Paas and had tasty beer. We passed via red light street as education for Titus. Fabienne came to the beer place and we invented a new game. We stayed there for a long time. Then home and slaap.

De Paas 217.10 Sunday – Woke up and had breakfast again, a big one. We walked out to the city centre and had coffee and looked at people. From there we walked around in the centre and all the way to outside the centre. We bought Cassis at AH and had pito giros and pita giros from the Greek Corner and ate at a plein/park. We walked back to the city centre.

19.10 Tuesday – I biked to work. Biking home from a meeting I got a flat tire and had to leave it at bike shop. Titus and me took the tram to the beach and surfed. It was a difficult day, again. We took the tram back and went to Kee Lun. More Chinese food. We watched Birds (3/5)
20.10 Wednesday – I went to work and Titus came and visited me at work. We biked to the flat and picked up our stuff. Then we biked to the beach and surfed. It was another day with very high waves. We biked back and were cold. We ate, surprisingly, at Dudok. We had sanglier. Then back to the flat. We watched Life of Others (3/5).
21.10 Thursday – Woke up at 3:45 and we walked to the train station and Titus left back to Finland. I biked home and slept until 9 and went to work. I worked the day. I went home and at home I ate some. Then I went to the pub quiz and there was a lad who knew everything so I lost interest and changed team and forgot the quiz. I biked home and I was home.

22.10 Friday – I biked to work and worked the day. I stayed home until 21 when Johan and a Colombian visited and we continued to Johnny’s place. There we stayed for a while and tried a Colombian drink. We continued to De Paas and I was actually out until 2. I walked home.

Stories in a corner23.10 Saturday – Woke up and it was my first weekend in Den Haag alone. I cleaned my room and washed clothes and did other preparations until around 2. Then I biked to the beach and met Johan. We changed at Aloha Surf and Lorenzo and his girl friend arrived. We surfed for 1,5 hours. The waves were really difficult. I had around one or two good runs. We had hot showers and walked to the AsianDutch place and I had fritjes and a tostie. We were the only customers in one hour. Johan and me biked to the city centre. I went home and ate and felt sleepy and stayed in bed for the whole evening and was thinking of the wonders in life. My room started to burn as I smoked in my bed and 2000 people died of pneumonia (I don’t know what it is) in some distant country. I feel asleep with clothes like when I was young. Well I tried to do that.

24.10 Sunday – Woke up after something like 10-11 hours of sleep. I cleaned, washed and more in my room. At around 2 I decided to bike to the beach and have a look at the beach and waves. The waves were good so I biked to the North side, took the gear, paddled to the South side and surfed. It was difficult again. Around 5 good runs. I paddled back and biked home. I showered and took Farzad’s mountain bike and biked to their place. When they arrived we drove to Domino’s Pizza and I had a Hawaii and we ate at their place. I took the tram home around 11. I was cold and in the night my stomach let me know that it exist.

Moon light26.10 Tuesday – Woke up at 8 and had a glass of orange juice for breakfast. I biked to work, not too fast. I worked the day and met the ex-prime minster of Finland. After work I biked home in cold weather. At home I ordered two pillows behind my back and skyped with Isak, Jonna, Ida, Pekka and Margareta. And talked on the phone with Maria. I started updating my blog and ate the rest of Maria’s vegetable soup. Tea and straapwafel is what is now and just entered my renovated stomach.
27.10 Wednesday – I biked to work with a set of clothes with me, and a towel. I attended a seminar at the residence and left work at 15. I biked in rain to the beach and surfed for 1.5 hours. First run was awesome, then something happened. I missed waves and was too scared to ride big ones. A very bad day! I changed clothes and biked back in harder rain. At home a hot shower and a change of clothes. Now is now. I’ve been writing a lot.
28.10 Thursday - Woke up at 8 and had a light breakfast. Biked to work in dark gray morning. I worked until 17.15 and biked to Plein. Stayed at plein with the usual gang until 21.55 when I hurried to AH to buy toilet paper. Now is now.
