Long time no see again

Before I even start this megalomanic endeavour, I note to myself that my memory is about to have a hard time. 18 days of no updates. Wow, just wow.

I am working on a vlog about the renovation works at an apartment and that has taken a lot of time. That's also a project similar to this so I assume these somehow intervene with each other and create some disharmony in the creative process.

My work, my hobby that is.

So now I have gone through my photos (my god all the photos and videos on my phone. What discipline is needed to manage these loads of art, culture and data (my photos &videos). And the iPhone had saved the photos in some other format (HEIC) than jpg so I had to convert the selected photos in photoshop. That's the kind of work that is the most horrible in the world.

I wonder if I should add video to this blog. My god! So many questions! So much data! What is the relationship between god and data?

27.4 Monday

So a Monday in April. I will never know what happened during that day.

28.4 Tuesday

We went for a walk in the evening. A nice and long one. The day we spent at work I presume.

29.4 Wednesday

Another day lost in eternity. I probably had a sandwich on April 29th.

I had a run in the morning. 4,8 km with a 5:34/km pace. Running in the morning is highly unusual for me.

30.4 Thursday

I had a short draft saved here on blogger.com. I had written: Picked up car, Lunch at parents, Porkala.

So we woke up ( I presume) and I biked to Andies the car rental place. I got an old red Peugeot 307 station wagon for 115 for four days. I picked up Maria and we drove to my parents place.

Mother working from home

We had lunch. A typical April/May lunch with egg and salmon among other things.

Reading the papers

We did some shopping at Prisma in Kirkkonummi and drove to the cottage. We had sauna, food and the nature was calming.

1.5. Friday

The next day we drove back to my parents and we met my older brother with his family. It was wonderful to see the kids again.

We drove back to sauna.

2.5 Saturday

On Saturday we woke up in Porkala (no surprise there) and did some proper wood work all by hand. Now we have a lot of wood for heating the sauna.

3.5 Sunday

On Sunday we continued the hard wood work and concluded with a wonderfully large pile of wood to burn. We stacked it to dry. We cleaned up the place and drove back to Helsinki via Jorvas to drop the key.

4.5 Monday

On Monday I woke up early and drove to Bauhaus for shopping. I bought a rotary hammer (a power tool that can perform heavy-duty tasks such as drilling and chiseling hard materials. It is similar to a hammer drill in that it also pounds the drill bit in and out while it is spinning. However, rotary hammers use a piston mechanism instead of a special clutch. This causes them to deliver a much more powerful hammer blow, making it possible to drill bigger holes much faster. Source Wikipedia). 99 euros from Bauhaus, 5 year guarantee.

I also bought about 10 bags of filler for the walls and some smaller things.

I decided to keep the car for another day and drove to Pekka's place and helped him drill a hole in the cellar. There will be a vlog episode about that.

After having done that I drove back to Helsinki.

5.5 Tuesday

Renovation. I saw a lady smoke in the street.

Delicious

6.5 Wednesday

Renovation in the day I presume.

We went biking with Titus and Ellen in the evening. 19 km in 1h 24 min. To Lauttasaari and around the islands. Then Titus and I played Starcraft.

Waiting for Titus to play Starcraft 2

7.5 Thursday

Maria and I biked to Arabia and bought t-shirts to print Clayhill (our video business shirts).

Then we worked in the office.

Titus and I played Starcraft 2 for several hours in the office.

8.5 Friday

I renovated a short bit in the morning.

The closet is gone.

At home they chopped down two birch trees, about 60 years old. The man in the tree was moving like a ballerina.

9.5 Saturday

We biked back from Helsinki to Jorvas (Titus and Maria). 36 km in 2h 31 min. We took a detour.

We had delicious grilled asparagus, entrecote and mushroom risotto. First meal in the garden.

Sauna. We decided to stay over night.

10.5 Sunday

Woke up in Jorvas. Slept really well there.

Maria and I biked to Kirkkonummi centre from Jorvas. 12 km in 56 min.

I bought the wronger inner tube so I biked back to the store and bought the right one. 13 km in 31 min.

We biked back from Jorvas to Helsinki (Titus and Maria). 29 km in 1h 50 min.

11.5 Monday

I picked up a van in the morning and we drove to Kirkkonummi and rented a concrete mill. We helped our father (Titus and me) pouring concrete into moulds. It was snowing and there will be a blog post about this.

Mud and Coke

12.5 Tuesday

Work in the office.

13.5 Wednesday

Yesterday a good day in the office and then printing Clayhill T-shirts. We bough pizzas on the way.

14.5 Thursday

TODAY! I woke up 7.30 and bought some groceries on the way to the office. I am now almost done and it is 10:30. I had some coffee, two croissants and a skyr.

Until next time. I promise myself it will be soon.
