1,5 months, sorry guys.

Office lunch 15.5.2020, liver casserole

Before I start running through the days, I have to talk about this long break. I didn't expect the pause to be this long. I have thought of updating a handful of times but other things have got in the way.

As always I decided to forgive myself and try to remember as well as I can what has been going on during the past 1,5 months. I will continue trying to keep updating at a regular pace because I believe that the gems in life are hidden in the everyday. To have a record of my time at earth feels historic.

So to start, I will upload interesting photos from the past 1,5 months. These refresh my memory. I need to add that I have been working like hell, like never before during this time so this means a lot of the stuff that has been going on is work related. But interesting.

I should also add that I have the firm intention to launch my construction blog. It's about the renovation of an apartment that I own.

At the set

At the set, at the cottage

15.5 - 16.5 - 17.5. These three days form a continuum. We participated in a film festival "Uneton 48" and we made a film. You can watch it here: https://vimeo.com/420739479/8514748bd2

I would rate it as 3/5. It was interesting to make it and a detailed post analysing the process would be good to write, but let me first trudge through time.

We started on Friday and got the theme for our film. Friday evening we brainstormed and wrote the script. The next day we filmed in three different locations. Titus and I slept in the office after making a first edit. On Sunday it was completed. It was an intensive process.

18-19.5 forms the next continuum. My older brothers kids visited us. The highlight of this, according to all of us, was when we played red dead redemption 2 doing only peaceful stuff.

The Consumer

Country kids in city life

20, 21, 22.5 can't possible remember.

23.5 - We sowed. This year we got beetroot, parsnip, kohlrabi, salad, onion, carrots and radish.

Anti grocery list

Gardenista
24.5 can't remember either.

25-26.5 forms the next continuum. The kids came to our place for a couple of nights. I had no children books so I tried to read the Bible to them, starting from page one but that was not liked. So I made up some stories and the fell asleep. We also visited the beach and travelled 3 persons on one scooter.

Luxurious (unsustainable) breakfast

I, J, T and E came for bbq party on Tuesday 26.5.

The following these are unknown. We worked at least.
27.5
28.5
29.5
30.5 We met Jan and his family and look at the car he had for sale.
31.5 We went biking.

1.6. We went to Porkala with Clayhill and Ellen. The intention was to write 10 scripts for the TV show we are working on. We were super busy with a lot of other stuff so we didn't get the scripts done. It was stressful at the cottage because we had so much to do. It would have been better in the office.

Isak, Dennis and the kids visited one day. We bbq:ed among other things.

At the cottage

Staying up late.

I am not sure how long we stayed at the cottage. We went shooting one day and we worked some of the week end I recall, but I might be wrong.

6.6.

We went out to eat for the first time since Covid.

Late breakfast

On 7.6 I shaved my beard.

By the way I ran two half marathons: 7.6 and 14.6. The second try took 2h 3 min.

8-11.6 we were shooting and travelling. Helsinki-Kirkkonummi-Raasepori-Helsinki-Juva-Jyväskylä-Ähtäri-Helsinki. We were back on a Thursday.

Titus shooting

On the ferry with our Chrysler Epica (not a good car)

We stayed at a hotel and we enjoyed the view greatly.

My brother has a thick neck

The following week we casted an actor for our show for kids to the Finnish broadcaster Yle. We met Jan and his family.

Someone found a cozy spot.

We test drove Jan's car on the 18.6.

Titus tried the trunk

Then came midsummer.

Happy midsummer

I look fat

21-25.6 is a bit hazy. We worked hard. On 25.6 we helped Isak to get his hay for the sheep. Winter food.

Bonden behövs

It took the whole day. We swam at 11 p.m in a lake and were home late in the night.

Then it was back to work. On 26.6. we bought Jan's car. I own 25%, Maria 35% and Titus 50 %.

Reading about Verla and getting back scratched.

On 27th we went swimming. Including Pekka, my father, which is very unusual.

At beach, Jean Monet 1899

28.6 Titus, Ellen, Sebbe and me swam in Meiko.

New old car

29.6, 30.6, 1.7, 2.7 passed and it was hard work before the summer holidays start. 2.7 was the first holidayish day.

3.7 today and I sold a summer cottage my brothers and I owned. That's now sold and I am travelling back to Helsinki from Vasa. Over 900 km of train travel in one day.

Now holidays can start. And I will post more often.
